2004 HUNTER EDUCATION GRADUATE HUNTING LICENSE

APPLICATION INFORMATION

Name:  ______________________________

Any resident of the State of Idaho or non-resident, 10-17 years old, who has just graduated from an Idaho hunter education course may receive an Idaho Hunter Education Graduate Hunting License.  There is no cost for this license and it is valid for the year issued.  The Hunter Education Graduate Hunting License allows you to hunt upland game birds, migratory birds, cottontail rabbits, and unprotected and predatory birds and animals.  Also, the holder of an adult Idaho hunting license must accompany you in the field.  "Accompany" means within normal conversation or hearing distance without shouting or aid of electronic devices.

If you are 10 or 11 years old and wish to hunt turkeys or sandhill cranes (not permitted by the Hunter Education Graduate License) during the current year, you must purchase a Youth Small Game Hunting license at any IDFG office or license vendor, such as a sporting good store, for $6.50.  You will need to provide the vendor your hunter education certification and social security numbers.  The Youth Small Game Hunting License allows you to hunt all of the species mentioned in the above Hunter Education Gradnate Hunting License plus turkeys and sand hill cranes.  The holder of an adult Idaho hunting license also must accompany you in the field.

If you are 12-17 years old and wish to hunt big game, turkeys or sandhill cranes (not permitted by the Hunter Education Graduate License) during the current year, you may exchange the Hunter Education Graduate License for a Junior Hunting license at any IDFG office for a fee of $3.50 or purchase a Junior Hunting License at any license vendor, such as a sporting goods store, for $6.50.
